What we know
about you

Short version: we collect what an online shop needs to take your order and not much else. We don’t sell your data. You can ask us to delete it and we will.

What we collect

• Order details — name, delivery address, email, phone. We can’t ship a box without them.
• Payment — handled entirely by our payment processor. Card numbers never touch our servers and we never see them.
• Account details, if you make one: email and a hashed password.
• Marketing consent, if you give it, plus a record of when and how you gave it.
• Analytics — pages visited, roughly where in the world you are, what device you used.
• Quiz answers, which stay in your own browser unless you ask us to email you the result.

Why we collect it

To take payment, ship your order, handle returns, answer your emails, and — if you opted in — send you the newsletter. We also use aggregate analytics to work out which pages are broken or ignored.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it except with the suppliers who make the shop work: our payment processor, our shipping carriers, our email platform and our hosting provider. Each of them gets the minimum they need to do their job.

Advertising

We run ads on Meta platforms. If you allow marketing cookies, a Meta pixel on this site tells Meta which pages you looked at and whether you bought something, so we can measure whether an ad worked and show you ads that are less irrelevant. You can turn this off in your cookie settings below, and separately in your own Meta ad preferences.

How long we keep it

• Order and tax records: seven years, because Canadian tax law says so.
• Account data: until you close the account.
• Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, which is one click at the bottom of every email.
• Analytics: twenty-six months, then it’s gone.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Email hello@cultmane.com and you’ll get an answer within thirty days, usually much sooner.

If you think we’ve mishandled your data and we haven’t fixed it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies

Three kinds:

• Necessary — your bag, your session, your cookie choice itself. These can’t be switched off; without them the shop doesn’t function.
• Analytics — how the site gets used, in aggregate.
• Marketing — the Meta pixel described above.

Analytics and marketing cookies only run if you accept them. You can change your mind whenever you like — clearing your browser data for this site resets the choice.
